Are Movie Auditions for Teenagers Different?

Movie auditions for teenagers
are not different from other
auditions. The aspiring teenage
actors should adhere to the
same rules and requirements
for other roles. The teenager should prepare for the audition
by practicing their acting skills.
You should have a monologue
piece prepared that you
present to the casting crew.
The piece should be able to bring out your special acting
skills. Ensure that the
performance is done with the
required emotions behind it to
avoid sounding as if you are
reading a phrase.

During the audition for movies,
make sure that you make eye
contact with the casting crew
and most importantly the
casting director. This shows
that you are confident, and you know what you are
saying. You can practice eye
contact with a friend before
the audition day. Make sure
you smile as it helps ease the
tension. A smile also creates a good audition atmosphere.
Teenagers are known to have
low concentration span hence
paying attention for long is
hard. You should practice on
this with your friend at home before the audition. Paying
attention during the audition
for movies is also important as
it enables you answer the
questions asked. One is also
able to ask for clarification where they have not
understood something.

On the night before the movie
auditions for teenagers, the
teenager should make sure
that they get enough sleep.
Getting six to eight hours of
sleep is advisable as it ensures the teenage looks fresh during
the audition. Drinking on the
night of the audition should be
avoided to ensure that the
teenager is not hangover
during the audition. Breathing deeply enables you to relax.
Deep breathes also ensure that
enough oxygen goes to the
brain, enabling the teenager to
think clearly and respond to
questions easily.
